Once Again
The Night keeps me awake
Restlessness unexplained
THe only one awake
Every creature in bed
Now She wonders
Why sleep won't come
Her body still going
Days without sleep
Her mind reeling
All that has happened
And all still yet to come
Plagued with worry
Plagued with fear
She begins to think
The only sleep now
The sleep of death
The body giving up
Unable to continue
Her Friends worry
It's not good they say
The body needs rest
Hers gets none
They wonder how long
Will She last?
Or will she slowly
Start shutting down
Little by little
Until she sleeps
